Two more NAPHL players make NAHL debuts

January 26, 2010

Milwaukee Jr. Admirals U18 forward Peter Maric played in three games for the North American Hockey League’s (NAHL) North Iowa Outlaws last weekend.

The Milwaukee native suited up against the Alexandria Blizzard, Bismarck Bobcats and Albert Lea Thunder. He was held scoreless as the Outlaws went 0-2-1.

“We were very impressed with his style of play and how hard he worked on the ice,” said Outlaws head coach Garrett Strot.  “He has a lot of potential and a very promising future in hockey."

Maric finished tied for 20th in NAPHL regular-season scoring with 10 goals for 19 points in 20 games.

His Admirals hold the No. 2 seed entering next month’s NAPHL Championship Tournament Series, which will take place February 12-15 in San Jose, Calif.

Zack Dorer also made his NAHL debut.  The Lansing Capitals U18 defenseman played in two games for the Wichita Falls Wildcats in their series against the Texas Tornado and recorded an assist and a plus-2 rating in the team's 4-2 win on Friday.

Dorer totaled three goals and three assists in 19 NAPHL regular-season games this season.
